Family support center "I know better" is a company that provides support to individuals and families in crisis so that they can be more functional and better towards themselves and others. The vision of the association "I know better" is that every child lives in a functional family where all his/her needs are met and where there are conditions for proper growth and development.
The Association "Center for Family Support - I Know Better" (hereinafter: the Association) is a voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit and non-partisan association. Founded indefinitely to achieve goals in the field of social protection to provide assistance and support to children, youth, individuals, marginalized and vulnerable categories of the population; prevention of behavioral disorders of children and youth, public health, improvement of family relations and interpersonal relations in general, protection of children's and human rights.
Projektima je obuhvaćeno
Through workshops, children had the opportunity to learn the psychophysical and social consequences of the use of psychoactive substances. In addition, the children had the opportunity to try “drunk glasses” and see the effects of PAS consumption. Through lectures with a presentation, parents had the opportunity to learn how to recognize the first signs of substance abuse. During the project implementation around 2500 children participated.
Project has been successfully implemented in primary schools in municipality
Of Kovin. „(Ab)Use of Social Networks“ contain 5 thematic units. It starts with the history of social networks, and continues with risks and dangers of using social networks with example video: Dangers of Social Media. Pointing out risk and possible dangers of Social networks is the most important part of this workshop. After pointing this out workshop transit to ways of using the social networks safely by showing the educational film „Tagged“, and talking about peer and cyber violence with an emphasis on Social networks and with an emphasis on the principles of positive communication.
During project implementation, 650 children participated.
In cooperation with CSO SOS children’s villages Serbia we have been working with children from flooded area in municipalities of Krupanj, Obrenovac, Bajina basta, Lazarevac, itc.
